Having a tidy workspace can change the way you work drastically. Having a mess around you will not only distract you from your work but it will also make working a much time-consuming task then it needs to be. As they usually say, a tidy space equals a tidy mind. Here are three tips on how to organize your workspace.

Tidy up your desk after you finish your work
This is a habit you should develop as soon as possible if you want your workspace to be organized all the time. After you finish doing your work, don’t just leave everything as it is. Store those papers away, put that pen back in the jar.
Have what you need on top of your desk
A desk should be functional, not necessarily pretty. I mean what’s the point of having a ton of decorative pieces on top of your desk, those pretty notebooks on display if what you actually use is all stored away in a drawer?
Don’t get me wrong, I love decorating my desk: as I’m writing this, my desk has a jar of flowers, 2 BTS albums and a BTS standee on top of it, but those things aren’t taking the place of things I use on a regular basis. My point is, don’t let decor occupy the place of that planner or those markers you use constantly. Functionality comes first, decor comes second.
Have a home for everything
Having a set place where you store every single thing you own is crucial to have an organized space. That way you’ll know exactly where things are when you need them, so you won’t need to rummage through all the drawers and cabinets to find them.
Also, I would suggest you keep similar things in the same place. Having a bunch of pens scattered in fifteen different places will pretty much cancel the effect of having a home for everything. Keep those pens all in the same place.
