My Story
Hey There!
I’m Rita Valente, a 29-year-old Portuguese girl who’s always had a thing for expressing herself—through clothes, words, and the occasional dramatic playlist on repeat.
I’ve loved fashion for as long as I can remember. There’s just something about putting together an outfit that makes you feel like you can take on the world. But my passions don’t stop there—I’m also a big fan of reading, writing, music, and honestly? I’ll never say no to a good pasta dish.
I speak Portuguese, English, and Spanish, which basically means I’m always switching languages mid-sentence (it happens more than I’d like to admit).
Back in 2014, I decided to create The European Closet—a space where I could combine all the things I love: fashion, lifestyle, books, beauty, and wellness. What started as a personal blog quickly turned into a little online home where I share inspiration, style tips, honest thoughts, and everything in between.
