May Bullet Journal Set Up
If you've read my previous post about my bullet journal, you've seen that I kept my spreads pretty simple: I didn't really have a monthly theme. I just chose one of two colors and decorated the spreads with some washi tape and sticker and that was it.
RELATED: A LOOK INSIDE MY BULLET JOURNAL
For this month I decided to try something a little different, mainly because I was getting tired of the old setups I had but also because May is my birth month and I wanted to do something special (My birthday is tomorrow if you're wondering).
I was never really good at drawing, I mean it's not like I am a terrible drawer, but I've just never thought my drawings were pretty enough to make it to my bujo. However, as I was watching a couple of old 'Plan With Me' videos from Amanda Rach Lee's channel, I came across her May 2018 video and decided to recreate it on my bullet journal. As you can see from the images above, May's theme is Lavender. I was a bit indecisive about the theme at first because purples and lilacs aren't exactly my favorite colors but I just went for it and I don't regret it one bit.
It was surprisingly easy to draw these lavender sprouts. I really like the messy look they have as it makes them look a bit more realistic (as realistic as they can get coming from me that is haha). As for the markers, I used the Tombow Dual Brush Pen in 603 and the Zig Fudebiyori Brush Pen in Lilac.
Next up I have my sleep tracker and mood tracker. I didn't really get creative with my sleep tracker because this spread works extremely well for me so I figured 'why change what works?'. As for my mood tracker, I decided to go for a circle tracker. This is only my second time doing a mood tracker. I did my first one in April and really enjoy it so I decided to make another for May.
Now we're onto my expense tracker, favorites of the month, and habit tracker. Since I've been staying at home and pretty much all stores are closed, I don't really spend that much money so I've made my expense tracker occupy only half a page.
Right below it, I created a section to write down my favorites for the month of May. Anything from TV shows, songs, foods and products that enjoyed during the month will go in there.
For the next spread, I decided to create a birthday playlist. I've just written down a few of my favorite songs at the moment. Initially, I was going to write down my all-time favorite songs but it became really hard to decide to I just went for the songs I've been listening to non-stop for the last few months.
Right next to that spread I created a Taurus spread. I saw Caitlin Da Silva from Caitlin's Corner on youtube doing one for her birth month and I really liked the concept so I decided to create one of my own. All the information written down was taken from the horoscopes.com.
We've finally reached my weekly spread! This layout is totally inspired by Rowena Tsai but then I gave it my own twist. This is my first time trying this layout and I'm loving it. I'm probably going to keep doing it from now own.
So, here's what my May set up looks like! Do you have a bullet journal?
